Old Photography: Floriano Peixoto Square and Monroe Palace - Rio de Janeiro (1930-1940)

This one shows a huge square popularly known as "Cinelândia" and also the "Monroe Palace". It is so difficult to believe this palace doesn't exist anymore and it is a pity. I think Rio had a lot more style in the past than now as I can see lots of so huge constructions have just been torn down. I wish I could have had the chance to see them at that time.
